The uproar over Israel’s judicial reform has overwhelmed American and Israeli Jewry.
In this talk for the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Federation of Greater New Orleans, I will try to explain, as dispassionately as possible, the issues and concerns related to the government’s attempt to change the judicial status quo. Having no constitution makes Israel’s legal system very challenging.
I will also speak about Iran on the threshold of nuclear-grade uranium, the incitement and violence in the West Bank, American Jewry, the US-Israel relationship, and Hezbollah’s northern threat.
