Dear MEPIN Readers,
I wanted to thank the 350+ people at IBIS in Florida who signed up for my talk, “Israel Update: Iran, Hezbollah, “The Day After” Hamas, Radical Islam, the PA, and the Northern Iranian Front.”
What made it particularly gratifying and a cause for hope was that the audience was composed of both Democrats and Republicans, asking challenging but respectful questions, something too infrequently seen in our daily political discourse.
But what I will never get used to is seeing a police officer wearing a bulletproof vest at one of my talks, something that has been routine at publicized events about Israel, not just since October 7, but for years at organizations and synagogues.
