Dear MEPIN Readers,
I was again invited this week to speak on Iraqi Kurdish television—Rudaw and Kurdistan 24—where audiences are closely following developments in the war with the Iranian regime. Iranian and Iraqi Kurds, like others in the region who live alongside a hostile Islamic Republic, are asking whether the United States intends to end the war soon and what the President’s objectives are.
In the interviews, I also discussed Iran’s priorities—above all, regime survival, preserving its capabilities, and positioning itself to claim victory and fight another day.
Two videos are included below, one in English and one in Kurdish. My speech is somewhat slower than usual to allow time for the interpreter’s translation. — Eric
The first video is English response, the second video clip is the original in Kurdish.
